No. 3 Women's Tennis Outswings Indianapolis

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The women's tennis team picked up a win on Monday. The third-ranked Lady Bulldogs walked off the court at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. with a 5-2 win against the University of Indianapolis, an oppponent out of the NCAA Division II ranks. 

TWU won all the doubles matches to clinch the doubles point. Ana Serrano and Olivia Alcala won the No. 1 doubles 6-1, Ivet Prat and Ruslana Kovalenko won the No. 2 doubles 6-0 and Laia Berne and Honoka Tsuji won the No. 3 doubles 6-3.

The remaining points came from the No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 singles. Kovalenko battled to win the No. 1 singles 7-6, 6-7, 6-1 while Berne won the No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-4. Prat won the No. 4 singles 3-6, 7-5, 6-0. Tsuji recorded the last win in the No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1. 

The win moved the team's record to 9-1 overall.
