No. 2 Seed Men's Tennis Sweeps Way to NAIA Tournament Quarterfinals for Sixth Consecutive Season

MOBILE, Ala.- The quest towards a national title for the men's tennis team began with a 4-0 win on Wednesday. The second-seeded Bulldogs beat the #18 seed Arizona Christian University in the second round of the 2026 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament. The match was played in a first-to-clinch format.

TWU won the doubles point by winning the No. 2 doubles and No. 3 doubles. Agustin Gaia and Mario Monclus won the No. 2 doubles match 7-5 while David Leon and Serafin Zund won the latter 6-2.

The remaining points in the win came from No. 2 singles by Zund (6-2, 6-3), No. 6 singles by Lucas Perez (6-0, 6-0) and the clinching point by Santiago Russo in the No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-3). 

The win moved the Bulldogs (20-2) to the quarterfinals, where they will face No. 7 seed Lindsey Wilson University at 10:00 a.m. ET.
