No. 3 Seed Women's Tennis Move to Quarterfinals of NAIA National Tournament For Fourth Straight Season

MOBILE, Ala.- The march for a national title began on Wednesday for the third-seeded women's tennis team. The team opened play in the 2026 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Tournament with a 4-1 victory against No. 14 seed Goshen College. The match was played in a first-to-clinch format.

TWU fell behind early on as Goshen won the doubles point. 

The team did not trail for long, though, clinching the win with four singles points. Ruslana Kovalenko won the No. 1 singles and Ana Serrano won the No. 4 singles with identical 6-2, 6-2 scores. Olivia Alcala won the No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-1 and Laia Berne won the No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-0. Serrano's win was the match-clinching point. 

The win moved the Lady Bulldogs (19-1) to the quarterfinals, where they will face No. 11 seed University of Loyola New Orleans at 2:00 p.m. ET.
