No. 2 Seed Men's Tennis Makes Sixth Straight Semifinal Appearance at NAIA National Tournament
MOBILE, Ala.- The men's tennis team will play in the semifinals of the 2026 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament for the sixth consecutive season. The second-seeded earned the trip to the semifinals with their 4-1 win against No. 7 seed Lindsey Wilson University. The match was played in a first-to-clinch format.
Like the previous day, TWU won the doubles point by winning the No. 2 doubles and No. 3 doubles. Agustin Gaia and Mario Monclus won the No. 2 doubles match 6-3 while David Leon and Serafin Zund won the latter 6-2.
The Bulldogs won No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 singles to clinch the win. Zund took the second singles match 7-6 [4] and 6-2 while Asier Pascual won the No. 5 singles 6-3, 6-1 and Leon won the No. 6 singles 7-6 [4], 6-0.
Tennessee Wesleyan (21-2) will face No. 3 seed Keiser University in the semifinals on Friday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
