Men's Lacrosse Drops Game to No. 1 Keiser

ATHENS, Tenn.- The men's lacrosse team hosted the No. 1 team in the NAIA in a game on Saturday. The team fell to the Keiser University Seahawks 17-7.

Keiser scored the first three goals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game. Carson Bowling got on the team on the board, scoring off Jack Driscoll's pass. The opponents went into the second quarter leading 4-1 though.

The momentum shifted to Keiser in the second quarter. The opponents scored five consecutive goals to move their lead to 9-1. Hayden Harmon broke the scoring drought, but the team was unable to score before the end of the half, trailing 10-2 at the break.

The teams exchanged goals to open the third quarter. Bowling scored the goal for the team, making the score 11-3. Keiser scored the next five goals, making an already challenging score even more challenging as the scoreboard read 16-3. Bowling scored two more times though before the end of the quarter, making the score 16-5. 

The game saw the Bulldogs score two more times in the fourth quarter. Kennedy Moore scored the first goal while Driscoll scored the second goal. The team was not able to score anymore though as the final score read 17-7 in favor of the opponents. 

Bowling led the team with four goals. Jack Shaw had 22 saves.

Tennessee Wesleyan (1-4, 0-2 AAC) will be back in action on Monday against the University of Michigan Dearborn. The game is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
