Women's Cross Country Tunes Up for Conference Championship at NAIA Appalachian Challenge

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The women's cross country team did some final preparations for the upcoming conference championship meet in their final meet of the regular season on Friday. The team ran at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge, a home meet for the squad at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville. 

A time of 19:58 made Molly Woodby the 58th runner to cross the finish line, and the fastest from TWU. Victoria Verran ran the 5k course in a time of 21:54 to finish in 113th place and Ashlynne Brown was 129th in a time of 22:31. Haley Braden crossed the finish line in a time of 23:05 to finish in 139th while Ashley Ratliff (24:46) and Kinsley Hayes (25:15) were separated had a spot between them by finishes 152nd and 154th, respectively.

Finishing back-to-back were Hanna McFalls (27:05.5, 160th) and Reagan Goforth (27:05.6, 161st) to round out the Lady Bulldogs in the race.

Tennessee Wesleyan finished in 15th place in the team standings. The team accumulated 426 points in the race. 

The team moves on to race at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship on Friday, Nov. 3. The race will be ran at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville.
