Women's Cross Country Runs at Mountainside Stride
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The women's cross country team went on a long-distance run on Saturday. The run counted for a meet as the team competed at the Mountainside Stride.
A time of 24:32 made Molly Woodby the fifth-fastest runner in the race and the first Tennessee Wesleyan runner to finish the race. Ashlynne Brown ran the 6k course in a time of 26:10 to finish 15th overall. Three runners were in the top 20 when Victoria Veran finished 20th with a time of 26:26. Ashley Ratliff crossed the finish line in 28:40 for 33rd place while Haley Braden was 37th with a time of 29:45. Kinsley Hayes (33:03, 41st) and Reagan Goforth (33:10, 43rd) rounded out the Lady Bulldogs in the race.
As a team, Tennessee Wesleyan was fourth with a score of 100 and a total time of 2:15:34.
The team will be back in action on Friday, October 6 when they run at the Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte, N.C.
