Thompson Earns Weekly Award from AAC

WALESKA, Ga.- Megan Thompson was named the WinWon Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week by the conference office on Monday. This was the third edition of the weekly award.

The junior took on the award based on her performance against LaGrange College and Tuskegee University this past Saturday. Thompson finished the day with 28 digs through the two matches, finishing with 17 digs in the 3-0 win against LaGrange and 11 against Tuskegee. The libero had an average of 4.67 digs per set. The White House, Tenn., native also had three assists and three service aces in the two matches while helping the volleyball team to two wins in the tri-match.

This is the first weekly award for Thompson this season. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Sept. 16.
