Thompson Digs Way to AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the weekly awards for women's volleyball. Megan Thompson was named the Defender of the Week. Monday's release was the 11th and final announcement of the weekly awards. 

The White House, Tenn., native earned the award based on her play against Milligan University in the team's regular-season finale. In the match, the libero had 28 digs in the four sets played, giving her an average of 7.00 digs per set. The 28 digs tied her career-high. The sophomore also had two assists in the match. 

This is the first weekly award for Thompson.
