Manney Takes Home AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- The weekly awards for women's indoor track and field were announced by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) on Monday. Paige Manney was named the Women's Field Athlete of the Week by the conference. This was the fourth edition of the weekly awards this season.

Manney took home the award based on her performance at the JDL Thursday College Classic. At the meet, the senior won the Triple Jump while hitting an NAIA "A" Standard to qualify for the NAIA National Championship Meet in the event. Manney also finished second in the High Jump. The Athens, Tenn., native's mark of 11.60m was the longest in the Triple Jump at the meet while the jump of 1.60m in the High Jump earned Manney second place. Manney was also the winner of the 60m Hurdles.

This is the first weekly award for Manney. The next edition of the weekly awards will be announced on Monday, Feb. 12.
