Manney Named AAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Waleska, Ga.- The first edition of the women's outdoor track and field weekly awards were announced by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) on Monday. Paige Manney was named the Field Athlete of the Week by the league office.

Manney earned the award after her performance at the Emory Invite. The junior won the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.18m. The mark was not only an NAIA "A" Standard, it is currently the No. 1 mark in the NAIA. The Athens, Tenn., native placed second in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.45m. In the High Jump, Manney tied for third with a mark of 1.50m. Manney also hit an NAIA "B" Standard in the 100m Hurdles.

This is the first weekly outdoor award for Manney. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, March 27.
