Women's Outdoor Track and Field Outrun Opposition at Emory Thrills in the Hills
ATLANTA, Ga.- The women's outdoor track and field team was in action at the Emory Thrills in the Hills on Friday and Saturday. The team recorded multiple top twenty finishes in the big meet.
Three of the top twenty finishes came in the 100m Race. Grace Clemens (12.53) finished 14th while Ann Moses (13.22) and Sariyah Cox (13.25) finished 17th and 18th, respectively.
Clemens also recorded a 15th place finish in the 200m Race. Clemens ran the race in a time of 25.77 seconds.
In two different hurdle events, the Lady Bulldogs saw two different top twenty finishers. Lisa Schoen finished 16th in the 100m Hurdles, running a time of 16.65. Moses finished 18th in the 400m Hurdles, running the hurdled distance in a time of 1:17.61.
The final track event to record a top twenty finish was the 4x100m Relay Team, featuring Cox, Moses, Sheridan Cruz, and Clemens. The team ran 49.51 seconds to finish in sixth place.
On the field side, Schoen finished in the top ten of multiple events. Schoen was fourth in the Shot Put (12.08m) and Discus (40.98m), and finished seventh in the Javelin (32.05m).
A mark of 1.43m in the High Jump placed Payton Mannis in 14th place.
