Women's Track and Field Open Indoor Season at Centre First Chance Indoor
DANVILLE, Ky.- The women's track and field program competed at the first meet of their 2025-26 indoor schedule on Saturday. The team traveled to Kentucky for the Centre First Chance Indoor Meet. TWU had 13 competitors finish in the top ten of their events and four finish in the top five.
Sariyah Cox finished in the top ten of three events. Cox recorded a ninth-place finish (8.29) in the 60m Dash, a fifth-place finish in the 200m Dash (27.37), and the 400m Race (1:04.10).
Two of the field events saw two top-five finishes. Grace Clemens was second in the Long Jump, hitting a mark of 5.34m, while Payton Mannis was fifth in the High Jump with a mark of 1.50m.
The 4x400m Relay Team, consisting of Payton Mannis, Jakara Tobler, Sheridan Cruz, and Lydia Weaver, finished third in the event with a time of 5:01.58.
