Prat Wins AAC Weekly Award
WALESKA, Ga.- For the second consecutive week, a women's tennis player from Tennessee Wesleyan won the Women's Tennis Player of the Week award given out by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). This time, it was announced on Monday that Ivet Prat was taking home the award. This is the third edition of the award.
Prat helped the Lady Bulldogs go 2-0 on the week as the team posted two wins over NCAA Division II foes, Drury University and Belmont Abbey University. Playing in the No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles, the freshman won all the matches she was involved in. The Barcelona, Spain native won her singles match 6-0, 6-4 while winning her doubles match 6-4 against Drury. In the match against Belmont Abbey, Prat won her singles match 6-0, 6-2 while winning her doubles match 6-1.
This is the first weekly award for Prat. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, March 25.
