Alcala Earns NAIA All-American First Team Honors

Kansas City, Mo.- For the third consecutive season, the women's tennis program saw a student-athlete be named an All-American. The national office announced Olivia Alcala as a member of the NAIA Women's Tennis All-American First Team. Sixteen student-athletes comprise both the first and second teams. Honorees were selected by the NAIA All-America Selection Committee.

Alcala is the first student-athlete from the women's tennis program to be named to the NAIA All-American First Team. The freshman was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Player of the Year, to the All-AAC First Team, and the AAC All-Freshmen Team. Alcala finished the 2023 season ranked No. 17 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Singles.
