Women's Soccer Receive Automatic Bid to Second Round of NAIA Tournament; Set to Face No. 12 Life University

ATHENS, Tenn.- For the third consecutive season, the women's soccer team is heading to the national tournament. This time, though, they go to the tournament as the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament Champions. The team learned where they would be going to play in the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer Championship First and Second Round on Friday. 

Entering with a 15-2 overall record, the Lady Bulldogs earned a bye into the second round. When they take the field, Tennessee Wesleyan will face No. 12 Life University on Saturday.  The team will face Life at 1:00 p.m.

Life competes in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), and holds a 17-2-1 overall record and a 9-1 conference record. The Lady Running Eagles finished as the runner-ups in the SSAC Tournament. Through their 20 games, Life has scored 101 goals, the second best in the NAIA and leads in NAIA in shots with 518. Defensively, Life has only allowed 16 goals (the same amount as the Lady Bulldogs). 

The game is set to be played at the Marathon Soccer Park (3598 Marathon Cir.) in Austell, Ga.

The winner of the game advances to the final site at the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer Championship Tournament on Dec. 1-8 in Pensacola, Fla.
