Starchl Wins First AAC Weekly Award
WALESKA, Ga.- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released the first weekly awards for women's soccer on Monday. Taking home the Offensive Player of the Week Award was Julia Starchl.
The sophomore took home the award based on her game against No. 14 Campbellsville University. In the Lady Bulldogs' 3-1 win, Starchl scored two goals. The first goal of the game for the Baldsramdorf, Austria native came in the 13th minute to give the team the first lead. Starchl extended the lead in the second half, scoring what turned into the game-winning goal in the 51st minute of the game.
This is the first weekly award for Starchl. The next edition of the weekly award will be announced on Monday, Sept. 1
