Lady Bulldogs beat Bryan College.

Lady Bulldogs beat Bryan College.

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Dayton TN for their AAC conference match against Bryan College last night and came away with a nice 3-1 win. The game was high paced the entire match and TWC managed two goals in the first half in the space of a 4 minute period.

In the 20th minute of play junior forward Alexis Dalberth slotted away a shot past Bryan's keeper to take the 1-0 lead for the Lady Bulldogs. Just 3:15 later, senior midfielder Maddie Thomas got on the end of a nicely pulled back cross from junior Kaitlyn Poulakis, and put it away for the team to take the 2-0 lead. A lapse in focus then gave Bryan an opportunity to score one back themselves quickly with the next goal coming just 60 seconds later. The game went into the half time break with the 2-1 score line and TWC dominating in shots with 11 to Bryan's 3.

After the half TWC came back out all pistons firing and continued to hammer away at Bryan's goal. Just two minutes into the second half they were rewarded with a third goal, this time coming from Kaitlyn Poulakis. The 3-1 score line would stand the remainder of the game despite TWC managing another 12 shots in the half. A few opportunities were wasted as TWC missed chances in front of goal but overall a largely dominated TWC performance gave the Bulldogs the conference win. The game ended with TWC outshooting Bryan 24-5, freshman Taylor Young spent 90 minutes in goal and recorded 2 saves.

TWC moves to 5-4-1 in season and 2-1 in AAC play, they next face 2013 conference winner, Reinhardt University here at home on Saturday at 1pm.
