Women's Lacrosse Sweeps Weekly Awards for Second Time
WALESKA, Ga.- The women's lacrosse team swept the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) weekly award for the second time this season on Monday. For the second time, Rylee Brendlinger was named the Defensive Player of the Week while Kylie Heinrich was named the Offensive Player of the Week.
In helping the team go 4-0 last week, Heinrich fin ished with 21 points, with 14 of those points coming off assists. The senior scored multiple goals in all but one game and finished with seven assists against Warner University.
Brendlinge was in the net for all four wins for the Lady Bulldogs. The senior posted a 52.5 save percentage while finishing with 31 saves in over 209 minutes in the net.
This is the first weekly award for Heinrich and the second for Brendlinger. The next edition of the weekly award is on Monday, March 16.
