Women's Golf Sits in Sixth After Two Rounds at AAC Championship

ACWORTH, Ga.- The women's golf team played the opening rounds of the AAC Championship and NAIA Direct Qualifier on Monday. The first day of the two-day tournament consisted of two of the three rounds. The tournament is taking place at Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Ga.

A score of 164 after rounds of 81 and 83 placed Maisie Hassall in 21st place. Ashlynn Guy was tied for 33rd after shooting two rounds of 94 for a two-round total of 188. Two spots back was June Greene, who shot 98 and 92 for a total score of 190 while Cadie Prater was two spots back of Greene after shooting 97 and 94 for a two-round score of 191. Maylie Stout sat in 40th place with a total score of 200 after rounds of 101 and 99.

As a team, the Lady Bulldogs were in sixth place. Tennessee Wesleyan combined to shoot 370 on the first 18 holes and 363 on the second 18 holes. 

The final round will be played on Tuesday.
