Women's Golf Concludes Fall Season with Fourth Place Finish at AAC Fall Preview

Greeneville, Tenn.- The women's golf team was back on the links on Monday and Tuesday. The team played in their final tournament of the fall season, the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Preview. The tournament took place at Link Hill Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn., and consisted of two rounds.

Monday:

Three players finished in the top 20 after the first round for the Lady Bulldogs. Maisie Hassall led the team with a 71, one under par, to be in second place. Morgan Satterfield sat tied in 16th place after shooting an 80 and Ann Sofie Madsen was tied for 20th after a round of 81. A score of 84 placed Bevin Harrill in a tie for 30th place to go along with an 85 by Cora Mount, who was tied for 36th place. June Greene finished the day in 48th place, playing as an individual, after shooting 92.

On the team scoreboard, the team shot a total of 316 in the first round to be in third place.

Tuesday:

Hassall's two-round total was 148 after shooting 77 in the second round, placing her in a tie for fourth, earning her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Madsen copied her score from the first round to make her two-round total 162, tying her for 18th place.

Mount shot a score of 82 in the second round to total 167 and tie for 31st place while Satterfield was tied for 34th after shooting 88 in the second round for a 168 total Harrill's score of 90 gave her a two-round total of 174, giving her sole possession of 40th place. Greene finished the tournament in 46th place after an 89 in the second round made her two-day total 179.

The team dropped a spot on the team scoreboard to fourth place after combining for a 328 in the round, giving them a two-day total of 644.

This concludes the fall season for the women's golf team. The schedule sees TWU return to action in March.
