Women's Bowling Finish Regular Season Strong

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The women's bowling team concluded the regular season over the weekend, playing in two Mid-South Conference (MSC) Tournaments. The team finished in the top four of both tournaments and had multiple All-Tournament members.

Lynne Jordan Memorial (Saturday):

On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs competed at the Lynne Jordan Memorial.

As a team, TWU finished fourth overall with a team score of 5,239 pins.

Earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team was Landry West. West used a total of 855 through four games, an average of 213.8, to finish in fourth place. Thomas Burris Memorial (Sunday):

The next day, the Lady Bulldogs moved up a spot on the final team scoreboard at the Thomas Burris Memorial. Knocking down 5,263 pins helped Tennessee Wesleyan finish in third place at the tournament.

The team had two finishes in the top ten of the individual standings. Olson led the way with a fourth-place finish, knocking down 852 pins, an average of 213. Abigail Key was seventh overall, hitting over 808 pins, an average of 202 in the four games.

Up Next:

Tennessee Wesleyan moves on to the MSC Tournament, where they will be the No. 3 seed, the best seed in the MSC Tournament in program history. The team had a 25-9 record in MSC events.

The 2026 tournament brackets feature all 10 MSC teams in a double-elimination format. All games played in the winner's bracket will use the new Mega-Match format, with the consolation bracket using the best 4-of-7 Baker format.

The tournament begins on Thursday, Feb. 5, at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green. The championship is slated for Saturday, Feb. 7.

The Mega-Match features a best 2-out-of-3 format. In the first set, five bowlers bowl a traditional game with the highest pinfall winning the point. In the second set, the total pinfall in five Baker games wins the point. If neither team has reached two points, a third set is played. In the third set, the two teams compete in a best 4-of-7 Baker format match.

The team's first match is set for Thursday at 2:15 p.m. ET against No. 6 seed Shawnee State University.
