Strong Wins AAC Weekly Award for Fifth Time
Waleska, Ga.- After a successful run in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament led resulting in the softball program's second consecutive tournament championship win, Cheyenne Strong took home the final AAC weekly award for pitchers. Strong was named the AAC Softbal for the fifth time during the 2023 season on Monday. This was the final edition of the weekly awards for softball.
In the run to the championship, the Bluffton, S.C., native started every game in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs while going 4-0 in the tournament. The senior struck out 35 batters in 26 innings and only allowed five earned runs for a 1.35 earned run average during the tournament and only surrendered two walks. Strong was named the Tournament MVP for the second consecutive AAC Tournament.
This is the fifth weekly award for Strong this season.
