Cox Runs at NAIA National Cross Country National Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash.- The day came for Eli Cox. On Friday, the men's cross country member competed at a chance for a national championship at the 2023 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship Meet. The meet took place at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Championship Course in Vancouver, Wash.

Cox earned the trip to the national meet based on his finish at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship Meet. At the meet, Cox finished 11th overall to get one of the conference's automatic individual berths. 

In the field of 331 runners at the national championship meet, Cox finished 264th overall. Running a time of 27:46 gave Cox his spot on the individual scoreboard.
