Men's Cross Country Wins Mountainside Stride

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The men's cross country finished as the No. 1 team at the Mountainside Stride. TWU had six runners finish in the top ten in helping them win the team title at the meet.

Eli Cox had the highest individual finish, completing the 8k distance in a time of 26:58 to finish in third. Mack Alas was right behind in fourth place with a time of 27:03. Ray Richardson ran a time of 27:34 to finish sixth overall while Caleb Greene (27:48), Jack Headrick (27:49), and Tyler Bowers (27:55) finished back-to-back-to-back in 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively.

A time of 27:56 gave Adrian Nelka-Hernandez 14th place in the race. Conner Craig finished 19th with a time of 29:19, finishing a spot ahead of Charlie Wilson whose 29:21 time made him 20th. Finn Fitzsimmons time of 33:38 made him the 34th runner to complete the race.

The Bulldogs finished with 25 points in the race to win the team title. The team had a combined time of 2:17:14.

The team will be back in action on Friday, October 6 when they run at the Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte, N.C.
