Men's Outdoor Track and Field Sends Four to NAIA National Championship Meet
ATHENS, Tenn.- The men's outdoor track and field program will have student-athletes competing in four different events at the 2026 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The outdoor championship meet is set for May 20-22 at the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Asheville, N.C.
KT Buchanan qualified for the 100m Dash. Buchanan currently sits 14th among the qualifees with a time of 10.37 seconds. The 100m Dash Prelims is set for Thursday at 3:40 p.m. ET.
Dani Meisen will compete in the 800m Race. Meisen's time of 1:50.98 places him 13th among 26 individuals competing in the event. The prelims of the event are set for Thursday at 2:50 p.m. ET.
Dakota Caldwell qualified for the 5000m Racewalk. Entering the meet, Caldwell sits 19th with a time of 24:58.37 out of 23 competitors. The event is set for 5:15 p.m. ET on Thursday.
The final event for the Bulldogs is the 4x400m Relay. The relay team, consisting of Buchanan, Roni Bailey, Meisen, and Matthew Murphy, ran a time of 3:14.68 to qualify for the event and sits 20th out of 25 teams that qualified. The prelims are scheduled for 8:45 p.m. ET on Thursday.
In events with prelims, the top two from each heat plus the next two fastest times qualify for the finals. To earn All-American status, a runner must finish in the finals.
