Men's Indoor Track and Field Sends Two to NAIA Championships
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The men's indoor track and field program sent two members to the 2026 NAIA Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships. The event was held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Gainesville, Fla. Matthew Murphy qualified for the meet in the Triple Jump and Dakota Caldwell qualified for the meet in the 3000m Race Walk.
Caldwell, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) 3000m Race Walk Champion, first competed in his event on Thursday in the prelims of the event. Caldwell finished fourth in his heat of the event with a time of 13:31.07, automatically sending him to the finals of the event on Friday. In the finals of the event, Caldwell would finish 12th with a time of 13:38.25.
Murphy, who used his AAC Triple Jump Championship mark to qualify for the meet, was in action on Saturday. Murphy finished the event in 26th with a mark of 13.83m.
