Four Compete at NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

MARION, Ind.-  The outdoor track and field programs saw four members of their team compete in the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet was held in Marion, Ind. on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University from Wednesday to Friday. Two of the four who were competing qualified for two different events at the meet. 

For the men's side, KT Buchanan and Armoni Hicks qualified for the meet. Buchanan qualified in the 100m Dash and the 200m Dash, and Hicks qualified in the Long Jump. On the women's side, Samantha DeGrace qualified for the 100m Hurdles and High Jump, and Lisa Schoen qualified in the Discus Throw. 

On Wednesday, Buchanan ran in the 200m Dash, where he finished with a time of 21.88 for 27th place.

Thursday saw three participants for the programs. Hicks hit a mark of 5.42m in the Long Jump to finish 21st while Buchanan ran a time of 10.77 in the 100m Dash for 30th place. DeGrace closed out the day with a 18th place finish in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.84.

The final day of the championship meet saw DeGrace and Schoen both compete. DeGrace jumped 1.66m in the High Jump to finish in a tie for 11th place. Schoen mark of 40.78m in the Discus placed her in 17th place.
