Rios Nabs AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the final weekly awards for men's tennis on Monday. Zoilo Rios was named the Men's Tennis Player of the Week in the seventh edition of the weekly award.

Rios took home the award based on his play at the AAC Tournament. In helping the Bulldogs win their fifth consecutive AAC Tournament Title, Zios was 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. Rios final win in singles was the clinching-point for the title. In their tournament opener against Columbia College and in the semifinals against Milligan University, the senior won the No. 3 doubles matches with 6-0 scores. In the No. 5 singles match against Columbia, the Zaragoza, Spain used a 6-0, 6-0 score to win the match. The title point came against SCAD Atlanta in a 6-4, 6-0 win in the No. 6 singles match.

This is the first weekly award for Rios.
