Men's Soccer Wins Multiple AAC Awards

WALESKA, Ga.- The end-of-the-year awards for men's soccer were announced by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) on Wednesday. Tennessee Wesleyan had two players earn a spot on one of the All-Conference Teams and nine All-Academic Team members.

Nicko Bellot was named to the All-AAC First Team. Nabbing one of the forward spots, the Chattanooga, Tenn., native was second in the conference with 12 goals. The senior had a brace in four games this season. Bellot added two assists to finish the 2025 season with 26 points. 

Nabbing a spot on the All-AAC Second Team as a defender was Sifiso Ngwenya. While anchoring the defense, the Cape Town, South Africa native contributed one goal and two assists to finish with four points. 

Cameron Grooms was the team's representative on the Champions of Character Team. To be named to the Champions of Character Team, a player must exhibit the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership. 

Nine student-athletes were named to the AAC All-Academic Team. To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or above and have a 3.25 GPA. Making the team were Jackson Baker, Bellot, Jake Fisher, Braden Hargraves, Darijus Jurs, Ngwenya, Ethan Nicolaas, Adrian Vasquez, and Julien Withrow
