Vezinhet and Thompson Win AAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards
WALESKA, Ga.- For the second time during the 2025 season, the men's soccer team earned both versions of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) weekly awards on Monday. Logan Thompson was named the Defensive Player of the Week award and Robin Vezinhet was named the Offensive Player of the Week in the fourth edition of the weekly award.
Thompson took home the defensive portion of the weekly award by helping the Bulldogs win two games where he scored three goals and helped the defense hold the two opponents to just one goal. The graduate student scored two goals in the 4-1 win against Milligan University while his third goal of the week came in the 4-0 win against Johnson University.
The offensive award went to Vezinhet after he played a part in four of the team's eight goals during the week. The sophomore scored two goals and had two assists during the week with one goal and one assist each coming against Milligan and Johnson.
This is the first weekly award for both Thompson and Vezinhet. The next edition of the weekly award will be announced on Monday, Sept. 22.
