ATHENS, Tenn.- The men's soccer team had their Senior Day on Saturday. The team honored eight seniors in their Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game against the #11-ranked Mlligan University Buffaloes. Unfortunately, a late goal sunk the team in a 1-0 loss.
Through 82 minutes of play, the score was even at zero. Shots by Sisfo Ngwenya, Logan Haricombe, Francesco Conti, and Oliver Brennan did not find their mark as the team tried to score a goal throughout the game. The difference in the game came in the 83rd minute when Milligan converted a penalty kick into a goal, giving them a 1-0 win.
The result moves the team's record to 5-7-2 overall and 4-5-1 in the AAC.
