Men's Lacrosse Fall in Close Game to SCAD Savannah
HARDEEVILLE, S.C- The men's lacrosse team fell in a close conference game on Thursday. TWU fell to the SCAD Savannah Bees 12-9.
The teams opened by exchanging goals in the Appalachian Athletic Conference game. Carson Bowling responded to the opponents goal, scoring off a Kennedy Moore assist. Jack Driscoll gave the team a brief lead eight seconds later before SCAD Savannah went on to score the next five goals. Hayden Harmon scored the final goal of the first quarter, making the score 6-3.
In the second quarter, Kyle Gasior got on the board. Harmon joined the scoring fray in the second quarter. Unfortunately, the Bees scored four goals during the quarter, moving the score to 10-5 at the halftime break.
TWU outscored the opponents in the second half. In the third quarter, Driscoll scored and AJ Carsto scored as the scoreboard read 11-7 to open the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs were not able to catch up to the score needed as the team only scored two more times in the game. Driscoll and Harmon scored for TWU in the final quarter, falling by a three-goal margin.
Driscoll and Harmon both finished with three goals in the game. Jack Shaw finished with 12 saves.
The schedule brings the Bulldogs (2-5, 0-3 AAC) back to their home field for their next game on Saturday. The team will host Siena Heights University at 12:00 p.m.
