Men's Lacrosse Blitz Wolverines

ATHENS, Tenn.- The men's lacrosse team picked up a win on Monday. The team beat the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines 13-8. 

By the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 3-1. Jameson Koch gave the team the first lead of the game. Garrett Beasly grew the lead to 2-0 on Hayden Harmon's assist. The team got their two-goal advantage on Torin Piper's goal. 

Each team scored two goals in the second quarter. Michigan Dearborn scored the first goal of the quarter. TWU scored the next two. Harmon scored on a Jack Driscoll assist while Carson Bowling scored to give the team their fifth goal of the game. The opponents scored one more before the end of the half, making the score 5-3.

The third quarter was owned by the Bulldogs. Harmon scored the opening goal of the quarter 21 seconds in on Kennedy Moore's assist. Bowling took a pass from Driscoll to make it two consecutive goals. Moore made it three consecutive goals and moved the team's lead to 8-3. The opponents scored the next two goals to cut the lea down to three goals. Tennessee Wesleyan ended the quarter with a five goal lead as goals by Bowling and Harmon moved the score to 10-5.

The game got a little bit tighter in the fourth quarter. Michigan Dearborn scored the first three goals of the final stanza, making the score 10-8. The Bulldogs did not let the opponents pull closer though, scoring the final three goals of the game. Ethan Peterson scored the first of the three and Bowling scored the final two to give the team the five-goal victory.

Bowling finished with five goals in the game. Jack Shaw had nine saves in the net.

TWU (2-4) jumps back into conference play on Thursday against SCAD Savannah. The road game is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
