Men's Lacrosse Earns Multiple AAC Awards
Waleska, Ga.- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the end-of-the-year awards for men's lacrosse on Thursday. The team had multiple student-athletes take home awards.
Jackson Lollis was named to the All-AAC Second Team at the midfield position. Lollis led the team in goals during the 2023 season with 36. The junior added 10 assists to finish with 46 points, second most on the team. Lollis also had 35 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers. Lollis was No. 8 in goals in the conference.
Kyle Gasior was named to the All-AAC Second Team in the face-off specialist spot. Gasior, a two-time AAC Defensive Player of the Week and NAIA Defensive Player of the Week winner, scored six goals and had two assists for eight points. The senior led the NAIA in face-offs won (276) and ground balls (178). Gasior was 276-377 on the season for a 73% face-off percentage.
Wes Christian was voted to the All-AAC Second Team as a defender. The senior was fourth in the conference in caused turnovers with 30 while picking up 44 groundballs. Christian also scored seven goals and had one assist for eight points.
Carson Bowling was the team's representative on the AAC Champions of Character Team. To be named to the Champions of Character Team, a player must exhibit the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.
Earning a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team were Bowling, Christian, Gasior, Robert Holekamp, Sam Staley, and Matthew Tullock. To earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be in sophomore in academic standing and maintain a 3.25 grade-point average.
