Men's Golf Competes at AAC Championship
Seneca, S.C.- The men's golf team was back in action at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship on Monday and Tuesday. Tennessee Wesleyan competed at the championship tournament at Cross Creek Plantation. The tournament also served as the NAIA Direct Qualifier.
Josh Loveday had the highest individual finish on the team. Loveday's scores of using scores of 76, 78, and 78 helped him total 232 to finish tied in ninth place. Bradley Dunkle had the next-highest finish,
finishing in sole possession of 20th with scores of 81, 80, and 78 for a three-round total of 239. Scores of 89, 86, and 81 placed Jacob Parton in a tie for 42nd place with a three-round score of 256.
A three-round score of 258 with round scores of 84, 91, and 83 placed Joe Britton in a tie for 50th place. Rounding the field for the Bulldogs was Forrest Atkins, whose scores of 95, 94, and 88 gave him a total of 277 to finish in 58th place.
As a team, TWU finished ninth in the tournament. Scores of 330, 335, and 320 gave the team a total of 985 to be in the top ten of the team scoreboard.
