Hampton Wins Second AAC Weekly Award
WALESKA, Ga.- For the second time this season, Reshaun Hampton was named the Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). The third edition of the award was announced by the conference office on Monday. Hampton also won the first edition of the award.
Hampton averaged 28.0 points per game in helping the Bulldogs win two games this week. In the team's 81-58 road win against Truett McConnell, the sophomore finished with a career-high 38 points on 16-25 shooting, including 4-8 from three-point land. The Winchester, Ky., native followed that performance with an 18-point demonstration in the 76-71 win against Bryan College. The guard shot 56.8% from the field and 50.0% (8-16) from three-point range in the two games. Hampton also had six rebounds, two assists, five steals, and two blocks.
This is the second weekly honor for Hampton. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Dec. 1
