Hampton Wins AAC Weekly Award
WALESKA, Ga.- In the first edition of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) weekly men's basketball awards, the men's basketball team had a player take home one of the awards. Reshaun Hampton was named the Offensive Player of the Week.
In three games this past week, Hampton averaged 22.3 points. Included in that average was a career-high 29-point effort that helped the team win their first game of the season against Bethel University (Tenn.). The sophomore had 22 points in the game against Tennessee Southern while finishing with 16 points in the team's season opener on Monday. The Winchester, Ky., native also accumulated five assists, five rebounds, and six steals on the week. Hampton shot 50.0% from three-point land (13-26) over the team's three games.
This is the first weekly honor for Hampton. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Nov. 17.
