Cuardado Wins AAC Weekly Award
WALESKA, Ga.- For the second week in a row, the men's basketball team had a player win one of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) weekly awards. This time, it was Armando Cuardado, who won the Defensive Player of the Week award.
The sophomore averaged a double-double last week with 13.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game. The Almeria, Spain had a career night in the team's win against Reinhardt University, scoring the go-ahead basket while finishing with a career highs in points (20) and rebounds (14). Cuardado finished the week with 17 defensive rebounds and four blocks for the Bulldogs.
This is the first weekly honor for Cuardado. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Nov. 24.
