Baseball Seeded Eighth at Avista NAIA World Series; Set to Play in Ninth World Series Friday Night

LEWISTON, Idaho- For the ninth time in program history, and the third consecutive season, the baseball team is playing in the Avista NAIA World Series. Tennessee Wesleyan earned the honor after winning the 2026 NAIA Opening Round Kingsport Bracket, their ninth Opening Round Championship. The World Series is set to be played May 22-30 at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho. Last season, the Bulldogs finished in the final five. TWU has left Lewiston with a national championship trophy twice, once in 2012 and once in 2019. This is the 69th edition of the Avista NAIA World Series.

The Avista NAIA World Series is being played at Harris Field in Lewiston and hosted by the staff of Lewis-Clark State College in conjunction with the NAIA. Seeding for the tournament was determined by the NAIA Baseball National Selection Committee (NSC). The NSC consists of one representative from each geographic area, a representative from the National Administrative Council (NAC) Postseason Selection and Ratings Committee, the president of the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association, and three at-large members. The committee evaluated teams throughout the year on various criteria.

The Bulldogs were selected as the No. 8 seed in the World Series. The schedule sees Tennessee Wesleyan play the fourth game of the day on Friday against No. 3 seed Lewis-Clark State College at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT.

Live stats and live video will be offered for free and can be found on www.twbulldogs.com

Two teams the Bulldogs faced during the 2026 season also qualified for the World Series.
