Two Plays by Baseball at 2025 Avista NAIA World Series Featured on ESPN's SportsCenter

ATHENS, Tenn.- During the baseball team's time in the 2025 Avista NAIA World Series, two plays made by Tennessee Wesleyan players were featured on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays. The plays occurred in back-to-back days in the games against Webber International University on Tuesday and Georgia Gwinnett College on Wednesday.

The first play was a diving catch in center field by Kruise Newman in the bottom of the second inning. The play was ranked No. 6 on the May 27 evening edition of SportsCenter.

The second play was a defensive stop by Brayan Espinoza at second base that ended the sixth inning against Georgia Gwinnett. The play was ranked No. 4 on the May 28 evening edition of SportsCenter.
