Baseball Chosen as Preseason AAC Favorites

Waleska, Ga.- The baseball team found themselves in a familiar spot in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Coaches' Preseason Poll. The team was voted the preseason favorites to win the 2024 AAC Baseball Championship by the coaches of the league. The poll was released on Friday.

Tennessee Wesleyan took all 12 of the first-place votes in the poll on their way to 156 voting points to be first in the poll. Behind the defending AAC Regular Season Champions in the poll was Reinhardt University with 141 voting points while Bryan College finished third in the poll with 123 voting points. Montreat College took fourth place in the poll with 102 voting points and Milligan University rounded out the top five with 99 voting points. 

The top 10 teams in the conference standings will advance to the 2023 AAC Tournament, which is set for April 30-May 4.

Last season, the Bulldogs finished with a 43-11 overall record and a 29-1 AAC record. The AAC Regular Season Title marked the 21st consecutive season the program had either won the regular season or tournament title. The team advanced to the championship game of the AAC Tournament and advanced to their 14th consecutive NAIA Opening Round.
