Tennessee Wesleyan Announces 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class

ATHENS, Tenn.- Tennessee Wesleyan University is pleased to announce the honorees for the 2025 Hall of Fame Class and Team of Honor. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to identify and honor, in a permanent manner, those individuals who have achieved excellence in athletics at Tennessee Wesleyan University and others who have contributed to the advancement of Tennessee Wesleyan athletics through their support of time, resources, or both. Since 1979, Tennessee Wesleyan has inducted 214 individuals into the Hall of Fame and six teams into the Team of Honor.

The award is divided into three categories:

Outstanding Athlete: Those who have achieved excellence in athletics at Tennessee Wesleyan University and are 15 years removed from his/her playing date.

Outstanding Coach: Those who have advanced and enhanced the concept of athletics at Tennessee Wesleyan University through their talents as coaches in their respective communities.

Outstanding Contributor: Those who have contributed to the advancement of Tennessee Wesleyan University athletics who are classified as non-athletes or coaches, and who may or may not have matriculated at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

There is also an award for Teams of Honor- This award is intended to recognize teams who excelled athletically through their outstanding team record or postseason achievement. Team honorees will not be inducted into the Hall of Fame but will be recognized at the annual awards banquet. Any current or former Tennessee Wesleyan Coach, former team member, or alumnus is eligible to nominate a team for this recognition. Only one team will be honored per year. Nominations for this honor should include the name and year of the team and a list of known accomplishments.

Daniel Hoyt: Men's Soccer

Phil Feistritzer: Men's Basketball

Rachel Sitzlar: Women's Basketball

Megan Cox: Women's Golf

Casey Fleniken: Men's Golf

Andreia Bonnano: Volleyball

The 2001 Men's Soccer Team is the Team of Honor for the Hall of Fame Class of 2025
