TWU Earns NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award

ATHENS, Tenn.- Tennessee Wesleyan University's athletic department was one of 210 institutions to be named an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution for the 2024-25 academic year. The department earned the Silver award.

To earn this award, institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character, earning points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Points are earned by institutions based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

13 of the 16 schools from the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) took home Five-Star honors, helping the AAC be named a 2024-25 Champions of Character Five-Star Conference.
