On Sunday, the Lady Bulldogs split with St. Andrews University winning the first game 7-3 but falling in the 2nd game 2-0.
In game one, TWU took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but St. Andrews came back to score three in the bottom of the inning. The Lady Bulldogs went back on top in the 3rd inning scoring four. Makenzie Hopkins started off the inning with a triple and then scored off a Mackenzie Jackson single. Baylee Sutton followed with a single before Alyssa King doubled to score Sutton and Jackson. An error and a single by Courtney Black to left field scored the final run of the inning.
St. Andrews scored one in each of the first two innings, but the Lady Bulldogs could never get the bats going to score. TWU had four hits with one error.
Lady Bulldogs travels to Asbury on March 9th to play at 5:00 pm. Then play at home on the 10th against Stillman College at 2:00 pm.
