Johnson City, TN - Tennessee Wesleyan College Lady Bulldogs opened up the indoor track season this past weekend at the East Tennessee State University Track and Field Invitational, where the women set four school records.
In their first meet as Lady Bulldogs, freshmen Aly McNulty and Kyra McCray each earned themselves a school record. McNulty set a school record in the high jump, finishing fourth overall with a jump of 1.56 meters. McCray earned her school record in the 60-meter hurdles, with a finishing time of 10.08.
Sophomore Rachel Lawhorn opened up her indoor season with a school record in the shot put. Lawhorn went on to finish ninth overall with a throw of 11.90 meters.
The 4x400-meter relay team capped off the meet with the final school record of the weekend, finishing 15th overall with a time of 4:16.29. The relay team consisted of senior Robbiccaa Williams, junior Ceantra Mcbee, senior Justine Jones, and senior Beth Sexton.
Tennessee Wesleyan returns to action on January 24th, as the Lady Bulldogs head to Birmingham, Alabama participate in the Emory University Crossplex Invitational. Action is set to begin at 11 AM.
