The TWC Women's Track team won the 2015 AAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Thursday collecting 71 points and holding off Union College with 56 points. The win is the second AAC title for the women in the past three seasons. Rachel Lawhorn collected first place finishes in the shot put, discus, and javelin.
The Lady Bulldogs started the day in third place but with strong performances throughout the day won the event by a 15 point margin. The 4 x 100m relay team set a new AAC record with a time of 48.51 seconds.
Head Coach Shawn Jakubowski was named the Coach of the Year for Women's Outdoor Track and Field. The last AAC championship for the women came in 2013.
